What are Antibotics

The Medicinal Products that have an anti-bacterial effect. The word antibiotic makes it sense from two words anti means against and bios means life. The antibiotics are the drugs that either help in killing the bacteria in the human body or help them to reduce the production of germs. Bacteria are the weeny organisms that causes the illness to homo-sapiens and fauna as well.

Bacteria have functionality to multiply themselves and causes various diseases like

Tuberculosis:

The causes of Tuberclosis is infection coughs, sneezes, tiny droplets of saliva or mucus are expelled into the air which can be inhaled by another person. The bacteria are transmitted to lymphatic system and bloodstream and spread to other organs.

Salmonella:

It is a food borne illness cause by the salmonella bacteria carried by some animals which can be transmitted from kitchen ,water ,soil , eggs or animal meats. These infections affect the intestines, causing vomit ,fever .

Syphilis: A sexual transmitted disease result from the bacteria Treponema pallidum. It is passes from one person to another person during direct sexual contact (oral or physical).It can also be passed from an infected mother to her baby during pregnancy. The more sex partners a person has, the greater risk of catching syphilis .This includes heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual men and women. It also increases the risk of HIV infection which causes AIDS.

Meningitis: It is a disease involving inflammation or irritation of meninges (a fluid which gives protection to brain) which could be caused by germs especially viruses.

When Bacteria multiply themselves and start causing illness to our body there are white blood cells (WBC) that attack these bacteria . WBC’s are also known as soldiers of our body but when these soldiers become week against their enemies called bacteria then we need the outside resources to prevent their growth called antibiotics. Antibiotics work against the bacterial infections but not against viruses. For Eg: Cold can not be prevented by antibiotics.

The first antibiotic was penicillin.

Preventions:

Washing your hands with an antibacterial soap make you feel cleaner.

Many herbs also have an antibacterial effect.

Preventions to antibiotics must be done when female is pregnant or during breastfeeding

One must not use other medicines or herbs if one is using antibiotics without the consultancy of doctor.

Side- Effects of antibiotics:

Diarrhea

Feeling and being sick

Fungal infection of mouth ,digestive tract and vagina.

Sulphonamides may cause formation of kidney stones

Abnormal blood clotting

Blood Disorder

Deafness

Sensitivity to sun
