What is Aloe
Aloe is a plant having medicinal properties and is used from time immemorial to cure many skin disorders and healing burns, wounds and constipation. Aloe is an active ingredient of the plant called Aloe Vera. It is the inside sappy liquid of the juicy plant is very beneficial when it is cut open. Aloe was the frequently approved herb to cure constipation and another skin conditions, during 18th and 19th centuries. It is founded in the most tropical and subtropical regions, including South Africa, Caribbean and Latin America. It is an omnipresent ingredient almost in all kinds of lotions, sunscreens, balms, burn ointments, lip balms, shampoos, skin toners, hand lotions and even nail polish removers.
The dried latex from inner part of the plant has traditionally been used as an oral laxative. Its laxative properties are testified by presence of anthroquinone, found in aloe latex. Nevertheless, it’s not approved on grounds of its therapeutic value as compared to other approaches. Although, its internal use is no longer approved in today’s time (it may cause side effects like congestion and rash) yet it was considered a powerful ingredient to be used topically for burns, rashes, bites, lesions as well as externally to cure internal problems like constipation and indigestion. Even in these times its healing aspect can’t be overlooked as it makes skin to grow and helps healing any cuts with great speed. Aloe is widely discussed as an ointment because it contains anti-inflammatory chemical (B-sitosterol) that helps healing skin conditions cause by sunburn, insect bites, allergic eruptions, rashes caused by plants and numerous other dermatologic conditions.
Moreover, another prominent ingredient in it, Salicylic acid, remarkably reduces the time an ointment takes in healing minor to swear burns. Many hospitals around the world, this is used as a main source to cure burnt patients. Uncontaminated aloe gel is beneficial for wide range pf problems like sunburn, insect bites, spider bites, bee stings, plant or grass rashes, nettle sting blisters, small cuts, major to minor burns, lesions and scrapes. There are no chemicals present in it and it is clean, mild, non-greasy, alcohol free and so soothing on the skin and used for pain-free treatments.
Aloe juice is recommended to patients with diabetes and to lower the blood pressure levels. Generally, It is considered good for diabetes but further evidence still needed to prove that it can cure diabetes. As Aloe contains 99 percent of water and when it is combined with glyburide, a medication used to cure type 2 diabetes, may control blood sugar in some measures and triglyceride levels in the blood. When people start taking it to cure disease internally must be monitored by doctors as it may cause blood sugar to go so low.
