What is Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections against a number of bacteria like E. coli, H. influenzae, Pneumococci, etc. Some of the major areas that can be cured by the use of amoxicillin are tonsils, lungs, larynx, skin and bronchi.

The rashes caused due to amoxicillin are common side effects. A simple rash may take place during the course of treatment with the help of this amoxicillin and this may be present for a considerable period of time like one week. The itching can become quite painful in the more severe cases. People who are allergic like the ones mentioned above can be experience these rashes of the most terrible kinds. There can be rashes that are not of allergic nature as well. The rashes may develop at a later stage in some children and few adults as well. It is quite tough to differentiate between an allergic and a non allergic rash. Hence an experienced medical practitioner is required in order to properly differentiate between the two.

These adverse effects can prove to be very dangerous if the person is allergic to the antibiotics. Hence precautions are to be taken and it should never be prescribed in such a case. The effects can also result in the death of a person in some of the most severe cases.
