What is Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang theory seeks to explain the cosmological existence of the universe right from the early development. This theory propagates that at some point in history the universe was very hot which led to the expansion of the universe in rapid succession. The expansion resulted in to the cooling of the universe but also due to the rapid changes the universe continued to expand repeatedly. Eventually the universe cooled sufficiently to let energy convert in to various subatomic particles. It took thousands of years before the particles could form in to atoms which are the elements that build matter. According to the theory hydrogen was the first element to be built along with some elements of helium and lithium. These would later coalesce through gravitational forces to form in to stars.
The Big bag theory is one of the most examined theories in the world since it deals with the question of the formation of the universe which has always been a mystery to mankind. In order for this theory to withstand the test of time the theory has been scientifically tested and acknowledges globally as an accurate and comprehensive explanation of how the universe came in to being. With time more evidence has been coming up which goes to explain the validity of the theory. George Lemaitre was one of the scientists who proposed what has become to be known as the hypothesis of the primeval atom. The theory relies heavily on general relativity advanced by Albert Einstein and also on assumption that of homogeneity of the space.
The person responsible for coming up with the term Big Bang was Fred Hoyle during a radio broadcast though he was rumored to prefer a more steady state of the cosmological model. Big bang theory developed as observation of the structure from the universe. Vesto Slipher gauged the Doppler shift and found out that spiral nebula almost receded from the earth. It took time to grasps the implications of the discovery. Years later Friedman made some equations showing that the universe tends to expand unlike the earlier static model of the universe. In 1931 Lemaitre went further and suggested that evidence of the universe expansion which was projected back in time showed that the further in the past the smaller of the universe was. Eventually the in the process time became finite in the past and meant that all the universe mass was concentrated in to a single point of primeval atom.
A lot of advancement has been made with improvement of technology as from the 1990s due to better and more powerful telescope which has enabled the universe to be analyzed and the various data from satellites. This means that cosmologists today have a better grasp of the universe which is more precise with accurate measurements to help understand the parameters of the Big Bang unlike in the past. The technology has also helped to make more discoveries about the accelerating expansion of the universe hence assisting humankind to discover more about the universe.
