Practically, amp can be defined as the amount of electric charge that is flowing through a single point in an electric circuit with 6.241 electrons per unit time. Alternatively, it can be defined as one coulomb per second. Watt Watt refers to the amount of power that is produced by an electrical circuit.

It is an SI unit named after a famous Scottish engineer by the name of James Watt. Scientifically, it is a unit of measuring the rate of energy conversion and can be defined as a unit of power with dimension in energy per unit time. According to this definition, it is simply one joule per second. Mathematically, Watt is computed by multiplying the potential difference with amount of current and it uses the formula; Watts = Volts X Amps.
