What is Whiplash

Whiplash is also known as whiplash-associated disorders (WAD). This is a series of neck injuries related to unexpected distortion or bend of the neck. This process is known as hyperextension harm to the neck. Whiplash becomes the main reason for most of the result of behind struck like a person moving fast in vehicle and get a sudden accident.

In this injury, a person may experience soreness, stiffness, headaches, shoulder ache, muscle tremors, and impermanent loss of movement in the neck. This can also be rooted by a burly strike to the head like playing rugby and getting hit from different players. In many cases, Women are noticed with whiplash injuries comparing to men. Professional people say women’s neck muscles are not much stronger than men, and because of that females easily get the whiplash problem.

This injury normally takes 12 to 24 hours subsequent to the accident. The swelling or staining problem in neck muscles can also happen at the time of the incident. Discomfort, soreness, stiffness and pain could be easy symptoms of whiplash disease. Some other problems a person suffering from whiplash can face are:

  1. Movement loss neck
  2. Horrific pain in the head
  3. Soreness, harshness or stiffness in the neck
  4. Back pain, arms and hands pain
  5. Pins-needles sensation and Muscle tremor

There are few more causes or signs like dizziness, Fatigue, Vision problems, Swallowing difficulties, ringing in ears and Sleep disturbances. If anybody faces the similar symptoms should reach the doctor on priority before the problem becomes bigger. Treatment of whiplash should be done on early stage or it can become the big disease for a person it the disease is ignored.
